This page is for the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, allowing participants who have been accepted to access course materials, guided meditations, and the online live sessions.

Only registered attendees have access to the links below, and they will be activated week by week.

Your Teachers


Ted Meissner has been a meditator since the early 90’s, is a UMass Center for Mindfulness Qualified MBSR Teacher, and is the host of the podcast Present Moment: Mindfulness Practice and Science. He has been interviewed for Books and Ideas, Mindful Lives, and The Whole Leader as well as several other podcasts, and has presented about mindfulness to various groups including the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Harvard Humanist Hub, and Be The Match, the National Marrow Donor program. Ted has been published in Perspectives on Psychological Science, Mindful, and The International Journal of Whole Person Care.

Amy Balentine has worked as a clinical psychologist since 2002 in Memphis, Tennessee, where she runs a private practice. She also teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at a local intensive outpatient program for trauma survivors. She served as adjunct faculty at Freed Hardeman University for 6 years. She has completed courses in MBSR as well as Mindful Schools. She incorporates mindfulness into her private practice and volunteers her time teaching mindfulness in the local schools. She has maintained a personal meditation practice for over 5 years.



Add Present Moment to Mobile Device

While using a computer offers the best experience for you and others during the Online Live sessions, many participants in mindfulness programs find it more convenient to do the home practices with ear buds and their smart phone.  Note that this is only for home practice; using a mobile device for the Online Live sessions is discouraged.

Below are instructions to create an icon for Present Moment Mindfulness on the iPhone, making access to the program and all the course materials, including the guided meditations, quick and easy for home practice.  The process for Android devices is similar, and these instructions can help with creating that icon as well.

Remember, the images below are just examples of what your screen may look like.
Tapping or clicking on them doesn't do anything.

Step 1: Open Present Moment in Browser

On your smart phone, find the icon for your preferred web browser, like Safari.


Open the browser, and in the address field enter www.presentmomentmindfulness.com


Step 2: Create an Icon

Once the website is open, tap on the icon to Save it, which may be on the bottom of your screen.


Tap Add to Home Screen next.


Tap Add.


The icon will now appear on your main screen.


Step 3: Access the Course

Tap on the icon to open the website, then tap on the "hamburger" icon, then tap on MBSR Course.


From the MBSR Course Pages, you can tap each section to expand it, and then tap on the link on the bottom to go to that page.


Remember, this class is secured to you and your fellow participants.  Type in the password to get to the page.


Just as when viewing on a computer, the home assignments are towards the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down, and tap whichever exercise you would like to do.
